Course of Fire:

20 metres:       12 shots (in 2 strings of 6) in 2 minutes which includes reloading

15 metres:       6 rounds,  1 shot in 2 seconds

15 metres:       6 rounds,  1 shot in 2 seconds

10 metres:       6 rounds,   2 shots in 3 seconds

Notes:

 

 

 

  • Long barrelled revolver .354 to .455 calibre
  • Under lever rifle .354 to .455 calibre
  • Any metal sights which may be adjustable, any colour
  • Scopes not allowed
  • Competitor worn apertures or irises are not allowed
 
  • Any safety that is fitted must operate

 

  • In the opinion of the Range Officer the Trigger must be safe

 

  • Prone
  • Standing, unsupported
  • Kneeling (unsupported)
  • Sitting (both buttocks on the ground)
  • Standing, left-hand barricade with pistol in the left hand
  • Standing, right-hand barricade: with the pistol in the right hand
  • One or two hands may be used throughout the competition

 

  • Sixty-six (66) rounds to be supplied by the competitor
  • Magazines and moon clips to be loaded with 6 rounds only for each practise
  • Each firearm to be loaded with no more than 6 rounds at any one time
  • PAA, DP2 half size
  • One per competitor 

 

  • 20 metres

 

 

  • Practice 1, at 20 metres large target, black powder

         Standing unsupported, Twelve shots in four minutes including reload

 

  • Practice 2, at 20 metres large target, long barrelled revolver
             Six (6) shots prone
             Six (6) shots kneeling or sitting
             Six (6) shots left hand barricade
             Six (6) shots right hand barricade
          All in two (2) minutes
  • Practice 3, at 20 metres small target, under lever rifle
             Six (6) shots prone
             Six (6) shots kneeling or sitting
             Six (6) shots left hand barricade
             Six (6) shots right hand barricade
          All in three (3) minutes.

 

  • ALL RELOADING MUST TAKE PLACE AFTER CHANGING POSITION
  • No telescopes are allowed
  • No firearm to be loaded at any time with more than 6 rounds.
  • In Practice 2 and Practice 3, once the revolver or under lever rifle is loaded with 6 rounds, the competitor will have an extra 18 rounds which must    be carried on the person i.e. in pocket, belt or pouch.
  • Any rounds dropped or placed on the ground, cannot be retrieved
  • Full use must be made of the protective factor of the barricades
  • When required the pistol must change hands
  • ALL FIRING MUST CEASE WHEN THE RANGE OFFICERS WHISTLE IS SOUNDED

Course of Fire:

Stage 1 – Target 1

7m — 12 shots from the standing without support position. Twenty seconds, time starts with loaded firearm in holster or held at 45o and includes reloading for second 6 shot string.

Stage 2 – Target 1

20m — 6 shots kneeling; 6 shots standing with support, left hand left side of barricade; 6 shots standing with support, right hand, right side of barricade. 90 seconds, time starts with loaded firearm in holster or held at 45o and includes reloading for subsequent 6 shot strings.

Stage 3 – Target 2

20m — 6 shots sitting; 6 shots prone; 6 shots standing with support, left hand, left side of barricade; 6 shots standing with support, right hand, right side of barricade. 2 minutes and 45 seconds, time starts with loaded firearm in holster or held at 45o and includes reloading for subsequent 6 shot strings.

Stage 4 – Target 1

20m — double action — 6 shots from the standing without support position. 12 seconds, time starts with loaded firearm in holster.
